Each year SAD 44 receives money from the federal government through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). In the 2024 - 2025 school year, this amount is $316,587.86.
The requirements around this grant include accepting public comment on the use of the funds. Like in previous years, the majority of this money provides salaries for our Title I staff to support students in math and reading. Additionally, a small amount is also being earmarked this year to help us find ways to improve attendance rates for our students.
