Mr. Twitchell and Mr. Kenney were just two of the guests invited to Ms. Haines grade 1 classroom at CPS today to celebrate and be a part of their class reading showcase. It was a great time listening to the amazing readers in her room! Keep up the good work!

Ms. Broderick received a grant from the Maine Environmental Education Association to create our very own Crescent Park Outdoor Art Studio. Students will be able to use this space during both art class and recess.

Sorry, change of plans, Thursday, April 3, 2025, 7:46am. My apologies for changing, but road conditions are getting worse vs better so we will now have a SNOW DAY today instead of a 2hr delay.
Thank you.

2 hr delay today for all MSAD#44 schools, Thursday, April 3, 2025
Region 9 is remote today.

Alex Falster, from the Maine Gem Mineral Museum, visited Mrs. Conrad's class this week. He’s a miner and a scientist at the museum but also has Native American knowledge and stories to share. He was adopted into a Native tribe in Wisconsin for his work in saving their reservation.

There will be a 1hr delay today for all MSAD#44 schools, Monday, March 31, 2025 due to back and side road conditions to make sure everyone can get to school safely.

April breakfast and lunch menus!

Emily Read Daniels, author and creator of The Regulated Classroom (TRC), provided a full day training to staff K-12 at Sunday River today. Throughout the school year TRC trainers and facilitators taught staff the basics of felt safety, polyvagal theory, and the four core practices: connectors, activators, settlers, and affirmations. Emily provided additional information as she demonstrated these core practices and helped the staff learn how to track body state and recruit social engagement to enhance student (and self) regulation. As you can see, there were a lot of smiles (and some tears), movement, and engagement. At the end of the session each staff member shared a "glimmer" or a positive cue of safety from the day.
Thank you to Emily for making the trip to MSAD 44 and to Sunday River for providing the space, refreshments, snacks, and lunch.

Good morning, we are going to have an early dismissal at 11:30am today, Monday, March 24, 2025 in MSAD#44 due to the anticipated snow this afternoon before road conditions deteriorate.

Couldn't catch the little bugger but we still had a lot of St. Patrick's Day fun at Crescent Park today...
